Business Licenses

As a reminder, Occupational Taxes (business licenses) are valid from January 1 - December 31 of each calendar year no matter when that business License was obtained.  All new business licenses must go before the Bishop City Council for approval. We hope that you will make the most of your license and renew early.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email.

Enclosed you will find an application. Please review and make any changes to the application that are necessary and return along with your payment to Town Hall. Please include your sales tax number/ tax ID number/ SSI number (which ever number you use for reporting taxes), your E-verify number (if you have more than 10 employees), and an Affidavit of Citizenship; you will not be issued a business license without this information.

Georgia and Federal law requirements have changed in regards to specific affidavits that must be submitted with your business license application.  These documents need to be renewed each year.  These affidavits must be notarized; notary is available at Town Hall at no charge.

Payment is as follows: $20.00 Business license fee
