The Bishop Boogie 5K

Run/Walk/Boogie

Kick off festival day with the Bishop Boogie 5K down scenic Bishop Road – a USATF-certified course perfect for runners of all levels.

The race will start at 8:30am. Awards will be given to Overall Male / Female, Masters Male/Female. And 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for: 10 and Under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and Over.

Fun fact: the name “Bishop Boogie” comes from the original race held in 1990 to celebrate Bishop’s 100th anniversary. We’re bringing it back so you can run, jog, or walk your way into the day’s festivities. Lace up, join the tradition, and then stick around for the street party!

Parking and Directions

The Bishop Boogie takes place right in the heart of Bishop, GA – just a short drive from Athens! For the festival, Old Bishop Road will be closed to traffic so we can fill it with music, food, and fun.

There will be plenty of free parking around town, with signs and people to guide you to designated lots and street parking areas. Whether you’re coming from Athens, Madison, Watkinsville, or beyond, getting here is quick and easy. Just follow the signs, park, and join the party!
